We reported several days ago that Acer is planning to release a smartwatch, the said smartwatch might be called Acer Liquid Leap, and now Acer confirmed that Acer Liquid Leap is their contender for the smarwatch. According to the report it will debut in Computex Trade show this year.
Acer also released its preview specs of the smartwatch, the Acer Liquid Leap is a one inch touch screen smartband just like other smartwatches in the market it will have a fitness tracking features, and SMS notifications, plus music control and will you can buy it bundled with Liquid Jade smartphone. No news on whether the smartwatch will run the Google Androidwear or Tizen operating system, so far these two operating systems is the contender for smartwatch operating system.
Acer is one of the companies that signify its intention in competing for wearables, and Acer want to be in the forefront of wearbles as tech expert that the market for wearables will double this year, around 15 million to 20 million. Hopefully we will see several amazing smartwatch this year, and including the Acer Liquid Leap.
